Christmas Window

I do love a new window display.  I try and change my shop window at least once a fortnight.  It keeps it interesting and people are always commenting on the new displays.  The regulars especially love new and interesting props and some of the wacky ideas I put in to place.  Whenever I put up a scene where the background is solid or almost, people comment that they have never been in before.  Sometimes they walk past regularly and have never been in due to not needing to buy anything for kids or babies but I caught their attention.  Which is great.  Generally we are bright and colourful but the criteria is that it is always fun!!

The last window I created was the what I will call the ‘Tropical Christmas’.  I had had the pop up fruit for a few months but the weather just seemed too cold to use it.  I wanted to wait until it warmed up a bit and being Melbourne that took a while!!  It just happened to cross over with our first Christmas window and the addition of colourful Santa sacks.  I also had the tissue pom poms from previous displays.  The star and pom pom garlands added the colour that co-ordinated perfectly.

Let me know what you think.
