I always love coming up with new ways to start the countdown to Christmas. The kids love being involved and making our own Advent calendars and coming up with goodies to put inside. We started a few years ago and now each year have a new theme. I try and alternate who gets something each day (so they realise it is not always about them!!) and make sure we include experiences as well as treasure hunts for bigger items and maybe chocolate or lollies a couple of times. Here are some of the best ones I have found over time….whether to make or buy.
We created a version of this last year.
We made a version of this a few years back and the kids painted each number in red paint and covered it (and the floor) with red glitter.
Think this is the way we will go this year. Colourful, fun and a little different to previous.
And if you can’t be fussed with the others this will always help build anticipation!!
